07 / AUGUST 11, 2026
On 11 August 2026 the Association reported that first-batch partners of the Hong Kong AI Film Market — which formally began operation on 20 July — had completed transactions covering 101 AI-native and related film and video titles, with cumulative transaction value exceeding US$12 million. Publicly described destinations include television, streaming services, FAST channels, in-flight entertainment, hotel networks, museums and educational platforms — channels that need short-form, multilingual content with clear rights. The figure is an announced aggregate: dividing it by 101 gives an implied minimum average of roughly US$118,800 per title, an analytical ratio rather than a disclosed unit price. Public evidence covers the aggregate announcement and distribution records; contracts, counterparty names and per-title schedules are not disclosed. The next quality indicators, per the Impact Report, are completed delivery, actual channel launch, counterparty disclosure where permitted, renewals and repeat purchases.
