If I publish an AI film on a mainland Chinese platform, is the festival’s AI declaration enough?

No. A festival disclosure and a platform publication declaration serve different processes. Mainland China’s Measures for Labelling AI-Generated and Synthetic Content took effect on 1 September 2025; check the platform’s current declaration and labelling workflow for the material you publish. Keep applicable visible labels and metadata, declare AI use accurately and verify any additional requirements for the content type, such as a micro-drama, advertisement or sponsored post. MCN participation does not automatically complete platform filing or publication permission. Confirm the actual operating entity and account permissions before promising a release.
